The Blog is on Pause...
I'm taking a pause from writing/vlogging while I focus on delivering service to clients (and some other fun projects, too!). The blog will be back...
Counseling * EMDR
*Currently only openings are on Wednesdays*
Sometimes the only nudge you need to start moving toward a fuller, more meaningful life is someone to tell your story to: Someone who will listen, provide both support and challenge, collaborate with you, give insight, and encourage you along the way.
Whether it's dealing with specific struggles, strengthening relationships, pursuing life dreams, or wrestling with the spiritual issues that arise in the midst of these objectives, counseling is a courageous first step towards pursuing a more vibrant life.
Come, tell me your story.
Every moment and every event of every man’s life on earth plants something in his soul. –Thomas Merton

My Favorite Resources This Month
I am constantly reading, listening, and watching for good, quality, life-changing material. Here are a few items that I highly recommend:
Book:
The Anger Solution by John Herald Lee. This is one of the best books on anger I 've ever encountered (I buy--and give away--several copies per year). John does a great job of clarifying healthy anger vs. forms of rage (some are surprising!). I highly recommend it.
Tool/Quiz:
The Four Tendencies: Gretchen Rubin's framework for how different people deal with expectations. This has had a HUGE impact on how I see, and motivate, myself & others. This framework has given me much more understanding and compassion for how the thing that motivates one person can make another person dig in their heels and get stuck. Find out if you're an Upholder, Obliger, Questioner, or Rebel.
Podcast Episode:
David Sedaris and the Life-Altering and Mundane Pages of His Old Diaries on Fresh Air. David Sedaris is my favorite! It's so interesting to hear about his journey from drug-addicted housecleaner to now living exactly the life he used to dream of. It's not always an easy road. Listen to this fun and vulnerable interview with Terry Gross.
